Sunday, March 23rd will be Family Worship (Kinder-5th grade) as we celebrate what God is doing through our Beyond Journey. During the service, there will be a time for your family to make a commitment. Before that Sunday, I want to encourage you as parents, to talk to your kids about what it looks like for your family to go Beyond. Maybe for you it means that you sit down together and think of something you can give up as a family: eating out weekly, pizza night every week, Andy's Custard treats, going to the movies, buying extras for video games, etc. Share with them what you have decided to give and how this is an exciting time for our church and why we are going BEYOND! Talk to them about what it means to sacrifice something, in order to give to BEYOND so that they are part of the journey as well. This is also a great opportunity for you to teach your kids the Hallmarks of Hallmark: Biblically Driven, Personally Involved, Radically Generous, Outwardly Focused. During the week of Spring Break (March 16- 22nd), you will have an opportunity to go on a Beyond Prayer Journey as a family. We will have a map of places in our community for you to go and pray specifically for that organization. More info. coming soon! |
