WHAT WE'RE TEACHING: MDWK
INVITED: A 6-Week Series from the Gospels and Acts on the Resurrection SERIES OVERVIEW:
There's nothing like throwing a party to celebrate the people you love. Be it for a birthday, an achievement, or a new chapter of life, parties give us a reason to gather, laugh, and create new memories together. And if we really stopped to look around, we'd find so many reasons to celebrate what's happening in our lives that the parties would never stop. In this 6-week series, we'll see what it's like when we celebrate all that God has done through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We'll celebrate that with Jesus, everyone’s invited, and we'll celebrate who Jesus is. Then, we'll see how we're invited to remember what Jesus has done, let Jesus make us new, follow the Holy Spirit's lead, and how Jesus invites us to invite others. TIP OF THE MONTHYou want to help your family grow closer with God so you decide to start a Bible study with them. Great idea! So now what? What happens if you show up for your weekly study and everyone is distracted, bored, didn’t read what you asked them to, or simply are more interested in what is happening in one another’s lives than what’s going on in the book of Ephesians? These types of responses can start to make you feel like maybe you just aren’t engaging enough, or don’t have interesting enough ideas. But what if there is more than one way to engage with Scripture — could you go easier on yourself and be even more intentional with your family? Here are a few ways you can make your Bible studies better (and more effective, too). For When You Need a Pep Talk

LEADER OF THE MONTH: EMMA MOORE
9TH-10TH GRADE GIRLS SMALL GROUP LEADER 817.637.9196 / [email protected] Say hey to Emma, our Leader of the Month! She’s currently at UTA, working toward her degree in Elementary Education—which makes total sense because she’s awesome with students. Emma grew up in Mansfield, TX, and has been part of Hallmark basically her whole life. In her free time, she loves hanging out with friends and family, usually while watching a good show—Psych, Parks and Rec, and The Office are some of her faves. She’s also a big fan of Bubblr, and she always needs a sweet treat after dinner (relatable, right?). Emma, thanks for showing up week after week and pouring into our high school girls. You’re making a real impact, and we’re so glad you’re part of the team! |
QUESTION OF THE MONTHWe know you're learning a lot about teenagers as a parent, so we'd love to learn alongside you. What's one thing you've learned this year that every parent should know? |
