Discipleship Group Leader Training
Jesus told us that our mission as a faith community is to make disciples. At Hallmark, we are working to better integrate discipleship into our church culture.
We believe that you can play a key role.
Would you be willing to come alongside a group of 2-4 other people and help them to read the Bible, memorize Scripture, and pray? If you're interested in leading a D-Group, we want to help get you started.
What is a D-Group?
A D-Group consists of 3-5 members. The leader is also a full participant, so you'll be sharing notes from your Bible reading and being accountable just like everyone else in the group.
The groups are gender-specific: men meet with men, and women meet with women.
What happens in a D-Group?
- Prayer and Conversation.
- Bible Memory.
- Bible Journals.
- Accountability.
How Long Do D-Groups Meet?
D-Groups meet for 9-15 months for the purpose of exponential spiritual growth, accountability, and multiplication.
How Do I Find People to be in my D-Group?
Start with people you know - your Connect Group is a great place to start. It's much easier to lean over to someone you've sat next to for months (or years) and say, "Would you be interested in meeting once a week to study the Bible, memorize Scripture, and pray?".
You don't have to be best friends with every person you ask to be in your D-Group, but you should have some type of relationship.
